Every 818Movers job starts with questions, not a truck. Which floor? Is there an elevator, and does it need a reservation? How steep is the driveway, how far is the walk from the curb, and is there a gate code? From those answers we write an estimate with a fixed hourly rate and a realistic time range for your move. The rate never changes on the day.
On move day the crew protects before it lifts. Floors get runners, door frames get pads, furniture gets blanket-wrapped and shrink-sealed, and mattresses go into bags. Beds and standard furniture are taken apart at the old place and rebuilt at the new one, in the rooms where they belong.
How a move runs
What it costs
A move from Woodland Hills to Santa Monica, Pasadena or Downtown is still a local move on the same hourly rate. Add packing or heavy-item handling to the same estimate.
Questions
How long does a local move take?
A one-bedroom typically takes 3–5 hours door to door and a two-bedroom 5–7 with three movers. Stairs, long carries and elevator waits are counted in your estimate's time range, not discovered on the day.
What's included in the hourly rate?
Crew, truck, blankets, shrink wrap, tape, floor protection, wardrobe boxes on the day, and standard disassembly and reassembly. There are no fuel surcharges or stair fees added afterwards.
Do you move outside the Valley?
Yes. Moves anywhere in greater Los Angeles run on the same hourly rate, whether you're going over the hill to the Westside or out to the San Gabriel Valley.
